Boy, boy, boy, this was a bad one. I admit, I should have tested beforehand, if that Steam Radio is running on Mac OS 10.6.x. But hey, Apple forces you to develop Apps now on Lion (if you want to use sandboxing – soon mandatory – and ARC) so they’ll make sure your app runs on 10.6 as well, right? Not. I have no f***ing idea, why XCode does offer you APIs only supported in 10.7, when your deployment target is set to 10.6. Yes, ok, you could distinguish programmatically, but I would have at least expected a warning message. But no. So as I’m writing this, I’m uploading the 1.0.2 update of Steam Radio for Mac, which is now tested to run on 10.6, and should fix the “gray window on start” problem at last.
And I can now go to bed at last.
